Wood flooring is timeless. It enhances the warmth of any home and complements the decor of any room.

Like a fine piece of furniture, wood flooring increases in value and becomes more beautiful with time. In a national survey, 90 percent of real estate agents said that houses with wood flooring sell faster and for more money.

In an effort to simplify and organize our hardwood offerings we have created five categories to describe our textures. Below you will find a brief description of the visual offered in each category. In addition, your hardwood catalog will be classified in this manner. Last but not least, your hardwood display graphics will outline this categorization.

A clean, polished finish surface with no scraping, brushing or distressing.  Smooth finished hardwoods look great in contemporary or classic settings.

    Subtle Scraped

A light scraping technique gives a time-worn or antique visual, offering a lived-in appeal to your floors.  Subtle scraped hardwoods look great in eclectic, modern or traditional settings.

    Heavy Scraped

A deep scraping technique offers a dramatic, rustic visual.  Heavy scraped hardwoods fit well in country-inspired or lodge-inspired settings or can offer a warm, rich look to traditional decor.

    Wired Brushed

A light textural technique performed with a wire brush tool, this technique offers a subtle distressed or worn patina to hardwood floors.  Wire brushed floors are well suited for contemporary or transitional decor.

A dramatic textural technique which offers a worn, aged visual to hardwood floors.  Distressed hardwoods lend themselves to creating a beautiful foundation for many decor styles.
